This piece was charred in a shou sugi ban technique that has been used in japan for preserving wood siding. The technique gives great texture and feel to ring porous woods such has oak. It was then embellished with pearl white, blue and green embellishing wax resulting in a striking bowl that will become that perfect piece of home decor that you have been looking to add.
